I got myself my first Garmin. I found a used Garmin 205 on a classifieds website. I really enjoy having the GPS distance calculation - I've never had this "luxury" before, believe it or not.
They only drawback would be the battery life isn't very long, but I will get used to charging it after every run, I think. I like it, and would absolutely recommend it if you want a watch that keeps track of how far you run, and you don't need heart rate functionality. |

I have a 305 and don't know how I survived without it. I'm almost 60 and use the heart monitor to help me keep my rate at optimum to lose weight and keep healthy.

| The problem with the 205 is that it's so uncomfortable for longer runs. After a 2 hour run, my wrist is sore. The issue is the watch is so "plasticky" with fairly sharp edges where it sits on your arm. I think I will upgrade to a newer more comfortable Garmin. | |
