hi.
i have personally found little benefit of stretching before and after a run. i do yoga about 3 times week on off days to keep flexibility and build core strength... and it's really worked well for me...

I always stretch after and before a run. I definitely need it, or else I get extra stiff and inflexible.
I am learning from a Yoga book my wife has; I found some really nice stretches in there. |

| yoga is excellent in my opinnion. i'll do a yoga class (usually 1 hour) the day after my run, and i'm rarely stiff or sore. even after a tough hill workout or wind sprints... builds great abs too!!!! | |

i've never tried yoga but i not real big into stretching either. I only stretch when something feels tight which probably isn't a good idea.
