I raced a 10K today in Edmonton. I tried to beat my time from the World Masters Games where I finished in 53:07 minutes, however I finished 1 minute slower today. (54 minutes)

I plan to sign up for another 10K race on October 1 (Mizuno Centennial 10K) and plan to train harder over the next few weeks, with some speed work and interval training. I want to beat the 53 minutes that I ran 4 weeks ago.

Otherwise it was a good race, coming into the finish line, I had that sick feeling to my stomach again but I always get that when I sprint the last hundred meters or so.

Thanks for the report! I was thinking about running that one, but we went camping in Crimson Lake instead and I ended up winning the David Thompson Trail Run! A fun race - recommended.

I will be running a few of these Frank McNamara cross country races here this fall. They are pretty challenging...

Me too! I'll try a few of them. I really enjoy those XC races. Hope to see you there. I don't know what you look like, but maybe you'll recognize me.
