Hey Robert or anyone else. how many races do you like to run a year? have you ran many winter races?
I haven't ran much in the winter and thought a race in the winter would help keep me working on cold days. I'm from Southern Ontario. Lawrence. |

| I like to race once or twice per month in the summer. I have also run a few winter races, and that is fun too. Try it! How's the weather in southern Ontario during the winter? | |

Lawrence,
I've just started back, but racing always gives me a goal -- something to train for. In fair to good temp. weather, I would enjoy 2 races per month, but remember, I don't run marathons. If you run the longer races, you can't recover well enough to put that many together. Doug |

windrunner.
Hey. I just ran another 5K race on a very hilly course. Not a PR, but another in the 22 minute range. That's three this fall/winter. Plan on one more on Dec. 31, then I'll cool it for a month or so. I don't get into the longer stuff either, but I'm starting to put in more miles and may eventually work into a 10K or one of those 25K trail runs that we have around here. |

Congrats! I have not run any races recently, but I ran a time trial a couple of weeks ago with a college running team where I'm assistant coach, and I was 2nd in 9:55. I was very happy about that.
Our college team raced this last weekend and did really great. The women's team won overall and the men were 2nd. |

| I try to run 10-12 races between August and November. I ran in 1 in July and 1 in June. I also try and get in around 5-8 road races in the spring. I recently recorded a pr of 18:25 for 5k. | |

| Hey Windrunner. I live in London, Ontario so I know all about the weather issues. I am training for a 10km run on New Years Eve called the Resolution Run through the Running Room. It is keeping me motivated despite cold, rainy weather. I will likely plan another race after that in order to keep me on track. | |

| I am from Crescenta Valley High.S. XC, and my team ran in CA, Southern Section, Division 1, CIF Finals on November 18 @ the infamous MSAC in Walnut, CA(near Irvine). I ran an OK 16:48 for 2.91mi(MAJOR HILL COURSE)(ALSO, California is weird, all other states run high.s. XC for 5K, in California...we run 3mi..and sometimes not even exact..weird). Personally, I thought my team did not do too great, and also because we did not qualify onto State Finals. (This race had 16 teams, top 7 qualify, we were not top 7). BUT, both girls/guys teams qualified for Nike Team Nationals!!!! Which is this coming saturday, Dec 2. I am so exicted, we are going to Portland, Oregon, and i hope to run my butt off! | |

Good job on that race! I ran Portland Marathon last year, it's a nice city! I really enjoyed being there.
I'm soon to be 37 by the way. |
