Hello, my name's Eric and I'm from upstate New York. I'm glad to see I found a decent site to help me log my running at! I'm currently running in high school for my indoor track team and on my own in the mornings.
For running history, I'll add this: At the end of last school year I joined my outdoor track team to give running a shot. I had never really had much interest in it before because I'm so used to laying around playing video games all day. But I got some encouragement to try it with one of my friends and now I can't stop! All over the summer I didn't do much running on my own. I kind of need a team to keep me motivated to do that. But this school year (06-07) my graduating year, I joined cross-country with a friend and loved it! My addiction has engulfed me and I can't stop. Right now we're in our indoor season and the practices we do now just aren't good enough so I'm waking me up at 5 in the morning every day to go for a short 3 mile run. I plan on running in a marathon this year. I don't know which one, but it's a goal of mine to run the Boston marathon eventually. I need to get goin' on that training if I plan on doing that. So that's me. |

Hi Eric,
Good luck with your running plans AND schoolwork! I'm new on here too and new to running (I'm a lot older than you though!). I know how you feel about getting hooked on it. I plan to run a local 10K here in the UK and a half-marathon too around June time this year. I'll be doing the half-marathon with my eldest son (27) - he talked me into it, my goal was the 10K! Best wishes, Keith |

| Hi Eric, Chicago marathon might an idea? It is flat and is supposed to be a good one. I hope to run it myself this year. | |
