Sarah's got a point. Robert was kind enough to create this little community. A brief introduction is due.
My name is Beverly, and I live in Raleigh, NC. I started running 20 years ago at age 22 to lose a few pounds. It also helped me lose a filthy 7-year cigarette habit. Quitting had nothing to do with avoiding cancer and everything to do with grandmas clobbering me in races! Shame is a powerful motivator. My interest in running has waxed and waned over the years. My PRs are over 10 years old -- 18:30 for 5K; 1:30 for half-marathon and 3:10 for the marathon. The plan now, five months after having a baby, is to get fit again. Maybe even race. |

| Hi Beverly, thanks for your introduction! Best of luck to you, I am sure you'll be running fast in no time. Fast PRs you have, by the way! | |
