Hi, my name is Robert. I built this free running log for people wanting an easy to use running, that gives you instant statistics and reports.

The running log was built as a personal training tool, just for my friends an myself, but I was asked to make it available to the public, so I did. Hope you find it useful!

I know my Garmin is quite accurate, so when I finished my run, the Garmin said 10.0 km. The RunKeeper app was waaaaay off - 9.3 km. 7% off is not going to work for me - unless they improve RunKeeper, I don't think I will be using it. If wasn't for this problem, I really like it. It sends the training info to a web page, and it all looks very nice. Just wished it would be more accurate!

22 August 2010Asics Gel DS-Trainer 14Easy Run 170.00 min43.00 kmEdmonton Marathon. 2:44:51 and 5th place. 2nd Masters. Nasty last 4 km. Splits: 18:40 at 5km, 37:20 at 10 km. 1:18:10 at 21 km. Felt decent at 32 km when I passed Corbett. I knew I would go under 2:40 if I could keep 4 min/km from there on. This worked fine until the hill at 37-38 km. I tried to pick up the pace at the top of that hill, but it was suddenly game over. The body shut down. Corbett passed me at 39, Jack at 41 and there was nothing I could do. Pissed off is an understatement.

14 August 2010Asics Gel DS-Trainer 14Long Intervals 16.00 min4.50 km3 x 1 km on the track at night, after just having a big supper and beer... could only make 3 of these, at which point my stomach gave up on me. Splits: 3:07, 3:08, 3:10 (1:30 rest). Happy with that speed at least.

I didn't eat enough after yesterday evenings run, and after 2 hours of running up and down the ski trails, I started running out of fuel. At 2:30, I was done.... I had to walk 2 km home from Main Street - me legs had turned into Jello! Wow, can't remember when this happened ever before. Lesson - make sure to load up with nutrition before a long run! :)

31 July 2010GEL-Maverick 3Race 180.00 min28.50 kmDeath Race, leg 2. It was hard! But I enjoyed it. The hardest part for me was the power line descent towards the end. My knees and quads were hurting from the steep long downhill running. 2:52-2:53 or so timewise. Got off to a slow start due to big crowds at the beginning of the leg. The only stage of the Death Race I have not yet run is leg 1. Not likely I will get to run that one though... :( unless I run the whole race solo!

Ran at pretty good pace and it felt okay, considering the 25 degrees and hot sun. Weight after run (dehydrated): 130.6, which is lower than I can ever remember, actually. That's a good thing for the upcoming marathon. Hope I can keep this lower weight until the marathon.

After running for 2:30, I went to the track and did 5 x 1 km at 3:53, 3:52, 3:48, 3:43 and 3:38, all with 1 minute jog in between. I am very happy with this workout.

My legs started giving up a bit - my quad muscles seemed very tired. Had a sore achilles this morning, after having my heels on the coffee table for too long while typing on the laptop yesterday. The achilles felt fine during the run though.

I won a nice HR monitor for that. After that, I ran the beer mile in 8 minutes something - 2 beers and 2 root beers - very tough of the stomach! I think I was sixth (but who cares).
